A Kid From Brooklyn: Lessons Learned

The Illusion Factory was honed in the vibrant and successful world of World International Network in the 90’s. It was an exciting time, being a part of the team who was winning the Emmy Award for Best Picture or Best Miniseries, the first three of the five years that Illusion Factory was growing with World International Network.

It was our privilege to assist Mr. Gershman with the design and publishing of this extraordinary story that weaves you through encounters with some of the most interesting luminaries of the time and punctuates them with the reflections they have engendered.

A Kid From Brooklyn: Lessons Learned is the humorous and touching life account of entertainment executive and entrepreneur, Larry Gershman. The autobiography follows Mr. Gershman from his youth in Brooklyn and Philadelphia, to his unanticipated start in television. Following his life’s journey with unpredictable stops, including including Station Manager of WNBC-TV, to the Executive Suite of Chock Full O’Nuts, to President, Don King Productions, and the bizarre world of championship prize fighting. He then joined Viacom and the international world of television, which led to his term as President, MGM/UA Television Group, and finally through his creation of World International Network as its Founder and Chairman. A Kid From Brooklyn: Lessons Learned is a poignant sharing of his journey, punctuated by reflections through which Mr. Gershman illuminates experiences that shaped his career.
