Carlton America hired The Illusion Factory to design and produce the key art and trailer to promote this touching story, Ride To Freedom: The Rosa Parks Story, starring Angela Bassett as Rosa Park in her historic quest to change the racial inequality in the United States forever. The film also featured Peter Francis James as Raymond Parks, Cicely Tyson as Leona McCauley, Rosa’s mother, and Dexter Scott King portraying his father, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in a cameo appearance. Ride To Freedom: The Rosa Parks Story was written by Paris Qualles and directed by Julie Dash. It received awards from the NAACP as well as the Black Reel Awards.
